Glasgow Pediatric Healthcare is pleased to announce the addition of an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). A lactation consultant is a specialist trained to focus on the needs and concerns of the breastfeeding mother-baby pair. Dana Carpenter, RN, BSN, IBCLC, will be available at Glasgow Pediatric Healthcare by appointment. Our providers recognize both the short and long-term medical advantages of breastfeeding and are happy to have the expertise Dana brings to the practices. Dana has 18 years of nursery experience, 11 of which were spent teaching breastfeeding and childbirth classes at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow where she helped thousands of babies and mothers during that time.
